Hate Blogging

This blog will NOT be what it once was, so if you expect it to be, you will be sadly disappointed.
If you do not want to know what we are up to, then don't read my blog.
If you don't agree, don't read my blog.
If you are here to pass judgment, get lost!
This blog is now about me and my children. The kids father may make an occasional cameo, but this blog is what I want it to be, and I am, a divorced, single mother of two. Get over it!
This blog serves several purposes.
1) To serve as an outlet for ME
2)To document the growth in my children's lives and my own
3) To be available to those who wish to see them grow that are far away
This blog is NOT here for people who wish to spy, or condemn me....However, I can not stop you. Just know that I personally have changed a lot in the last year, and I do not tolerate UGLY anymore. I may just blog about you, so if you are offended, please never come back again.
This entire post is only really directed to my hateful father and grandparents.
I know my father will eventually find his way here, and use every single thing I post or wrote, or will write, or thought of once, against me in some way, or use it to spy and gossip about me like a little girl . Trust me, there will be a post about Gregg, you just wait!
Anyway, just  a heads up, this wont be pretty or nice. It will be real and raw. Real life. Not a sugar coated version of it. We will have good days and bad. There will be photos of the kids, but there will also be stories about who i'm dating, possibly my sex life if I feel like it, the shape size and frequency of the kids poop, what new infection the cat has, and profanity. Lot's of profanity! So be forewarned.........
Here we go!

Monday....

Mondays are ballet days around here.....we wake up bright and early, get ourselves thrown together, a morning snack, and out the door by 9:20 so we can dash off to ballet class for Norah. She started in August after waiting for nearly half a year, which to a three year old is a lifetime. As soon as she turned four, we signed up!
Norah loves ballet, and takes it very seriously. Mondays are usually good days. Norah loves Mondays and cant wait for them. Patrick enjoys them as well, because there is another big brother that is drug along for Monday morning ballet, so the two have become best buds once a week. After ballet the kids and I have made it our routine to go have breakfast at our favorite breakfast spot in town. It's usually a great start to our week, and I am very thankful for it. Here are a photo of Norah after ballet today, all smiles. She is getting so dang big!

I realize it will take me a while to get back into the swing of blogging, and boy do I have some catching up to do, but I will do my best to post regularly :)

Hello there.....

It's been nearly a year since I have blogged. I have decided it is time again, and will be revamping the blog and updating it, as well as posting new photos of the kids and updating what we are doing. I have missed it. I am excited to begin again.

Why I cant sleep!

Well, its official, we have the studio. We thought we had it already, but the woman we were dealing with turned out to be unreliable, so we took our business elsewhere. In the begining of us realizing that our dream may not actually come to pass, and after I reminded myself to not panic, I decided to have some faith and look for the silver lining. Whold it come? In fact it DID! We found a new space, better, bigger and with more perks, literaly handed to us. Thank you to the forces that be, for leading me where I want to be, to follow through with my dream.

Tonight, I am writing this blog from my phone, so please excuse the mispellings and typos of every kind which I am sure are here. It is 1:30 am and I can not sleep, in fact I have not slept in days. Why? Excitement! I am like a child on Christmas Eve. I can not wait to get into the studio and begin the transformation. We get in on Friday, and then can begin painting. I lay awake at night painting, arranging furniture, photographing, and daydreaming about the future ahead.

Thank you, to all of my friends an family that have supported me in this adventure. I could never be this close without you. Love to all. I shall attempt sleep, it may not come, but I can always decorate in my head until sleep finds.me.

Today

Should be getting into the studio this week, Tuesday to be exact. Keep your fingers crossed. I have a large shopping list of items I need for the studio, and nothing in my pocket.

Trying to think of some ways to make some fast cash besides even more sessions than I already have. Had a yard sale, made a little over $100.00

Started to crochet! Decided it was way cheaper to buy yarn and make newborn baby props myself instead of buying them, so the craft diva got to it, and in a matter of days, have several new hats I really like. I have many more in the works. I can finish one in about an hour at this point ;)

Today was Jerry's birthday! We spent the day at home mostly, hung out, cleaned house, and then my mother came and sat with the kids for a little while, so we could go out. Jerry and I went to red lobster. Yumm! I had a glass of wine with my dinner, it was very nice. Afterwards we went by Hastings and picked up some vegan cookies for desert, and an item each for the kids.

Three day weekend!

We got a little rain today........

Can't sleep :)

Norah turns Two!!

We had cake! A pink, gluten free, dairy free strawberry cake, with whipped strawberry icing. Perfect for a little princess.

Norah wore her birthday suit!

We decorated the house for her, and she loved it.

It was fit for a princess.
We opened presents and blew out the candles.

It is hard to believe that Norah is now two. My last baby, is growing up. It is sad at times, but wonderful at others. I can't wait to see what new adventures lie ahead of us. So here she is, naked as ever, and two.

Refer here for my first post about Norah's birth

And refer here for the slideshow of Norah's home birth

And so they are not left out entirely, I thought I would include a photo of Jerry and Patrick I took yesterday.

..... Blurb

Most memorable moment of the day in Lubbock? That would be when Norah strips in 2.3 seconds in the middle of Toy's R Us, stark naked, and exclaims to me, "It's fine mom, It's fine!" I gasp, and the entire store then thought I was murdering my child in the store from the blood curdling screams that came from her, as I try to put her clothes back on, lol.

Shopping

We will be in Lubbock on Friday, for Jerry's dr's apt, and to shop for Norah's birthday, (toys r us) Hard to believe she is going to be two! My how time fly's. She is getting so big, and so, so smart. She is my baby girl, and she knows it.

Anyway, can't wait to spend the day out of town. Last time I was there was 2 weeks ago with my girlfriend Carrie. We spent the entire day thrift shopping and hitting up every single craft, antique, discount mall/store they had, lol. We ended the day with some Olive Garden, World Market, and Starbucks. Maybe while we are there I can persuade Jerry to hit a place or two again I was in last time, but I am really looking forward to stopping by Barns and Noble. We do not have one here, and besides World Market, and Target, it is my favorite place to go.

A new year

Patrick begins First grade today, at Mom & Dad's Home school.

We have been gearing up for it, and we are all so excited. We are working out of the Oak Meadows curriculum this year, and I am so excited. It is full of positive, nurturing, artistic lessons, that will encourage Patrick's imagination, spirit, and make learning so much fun. I can't wait to see how we do. Our lessons are broken down into weekly plans, which include lots of planning, and reading on my part. All of the reading material can be inconvenient at times, but I love how much reading there is for me because it is positive, uplifting, encourages the process, teaches you how to interact with your child, and it focuses on an overall teaching of being a team, which is what we are. It involves the whole family, all day, and I look forward to the process.

Here is an idea of what we are doing in our first week!

Busy 2 weeks

Well I have been crazy busy in the last two weeks, mostly editing, photoshoots, a wedding, and still planning for the studio.

Patrick's getting ready to begin 1st grade, and we have been getting everything ready, we are both really excited.

Norah will be 2 at the end of the month, and is doing great, talking in full sentences and saying words like "Meditate", lol.

Anyway, here are a few pics from one of my recent photoshoots, it was so much fun, and what has kept me from blogging.

BIG News!

It's official!
In the next few months I will be working hard on getting everything lined up, for the opening of my

Photography Studio.

I will be partnering with another local photographer, Carrie Pendleton, and we will be sharing a studio space. I could not be more excited to see my passion turn into a tangible reality.

(this is not the space below, snagged a studio pic for fun)

Near the end of August the space will be ready for us to go in, revamp, and prepare. I am over the moon.

Quick update

Kids are doing great.

Patrick is still high from turning six. He quit tae-kwon-do, and wants me to find him a break dancing class, lol, we will see if I can pull that off in Clovis, I doubt it. We are gearing up for school to begin soon, and he's super excited about starting first grade. We are still dairy free and he is doing great, but I am taking him off of gluten as well, I think it will help him.

Norah is doing great, going to be two in August, can't believe it. She is talking so much, and so well, it's really astonishing. Norah and her big brother play well together most of the time now, and I am so glad they have one another. Norah spends most days naked still, loves to be in the nude, and honestly in the heat, if I could get away with it I might try it as well. She is and has been pretty much fully potty trained since 18 months, stays dry all night, it's really awesome.

The kids love their daddy and have made time to play more recently and it's awesome. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them all in love with one another.

Jerry's job is going well.

I'm a little crazy with so much going on, but doing my best to cope. So anyway, everyone is good!
